July marks the official end of our EUROPONDS project .. ieps, time truly does fly. However, we're far from being done and will continue working to analyze our data
& write on manuscripts to share our findings !
June has been a busy month - we've been participating at two great conferences: the ECOO conference in Slovenia and the WBF conference in Switzerland. At ECOO we
presented both an oral presentation about our project & a poster presentation, at WBF we presented the project and pointed out preliminary results!

We submitted our review paper! It aims to establish the base for future publications of the EUROPONDS project, collecting knowledge about permanent ponds and their
ecological role, especially focusing on emerging insects.

We participated in the SEFS12: Biljana and Lena were co-chairing sessions in the SS03 on small water bodies in the landscape, presentations on the EUROPONDS project and on an individual pond of our dataset in Spain were given. Marina and Pablo even received the first prize of the postersession!
The final field sampling period started !
Here you can see what summer looks like at our pond site in Rennes, France.

One of our PIs, Biljana Rimcheska, presented the EUROPONDS project at the Balkan Bio 2021 conference. Due to Covid19, the conference was held online from April 15th - April 16th. https://balkanbio.uni-plovdiv.bg
Winter season sampling is conducted by all the EUROPONDS teams. This is a highly artifical pond in Spain - even there we found emerging insects !
